No puff, no drop eye exams.

We now have Optomap retinal imaging.

Eye.D. remains an independent optical store but we now have an Optometrist practicing within our boutique as well!

Eye.Doc. provides comprehensive eye exams and prescriptions for glasses and contact lenses.

Eye.Doc., Dr. Mike Grindstaff offers a boutique experience.

How is an eye exam a boutique experience?

We’ve all gone to an appointment and spent 75% of our time in the waiting room and then a hurried exam. We pay our copay and we still get a hefty bill later. We leave feeling uncertain. We’ve almost forgotten how precious our sight is and how undervalued it has become in the care we often get.

Dr Mike Grindstaff offers a different type of service, like the old days, but with the latest technology of today. He does a thorough medical eye exam to assess your eye health and how it relates to your overall health. He uses the latest technology in retinal cameras, Optomap, so he doesn’t have to dilate your eyes to examine your retina. He tests your ocular pressure for glaucoma without the puff. He’ll explain what he’s doing and why and answer all of your questions. He will give you the time you need to answer “which is better, A or B?” so you get a precise prescription for glasses or contacts.

The office is in a warm, contemporary setting instead of a clinical environment, located inside Eye.D. Their staff works closely and cooperatively with Dr. Grindstaff and will be happy to assist you with glasses or anything you need to make your visit a great experience.

In order to give his patients this outstanding service, he does not do insurance billing. Compared to many things, it’s a small price to pay to take the best care of yourself. We’re worth it because you’re worth it!

This is the only place you should look for glasses! Best selection in town, hands down. Everything from traditional to creative, funky, unique finds. Tracy is super skilled - from helping you pick out the right frames, to getting great lenses, and the maintenance you need, she provides top-notch service. Every day I receive at least one compliment on the glasses that I have chosen to wear for the day. Get yourself to Eye.D., you will be so happy you did!
